Rabat – Barcelona has stunned opponent, Espanyol, with a 3-0 victory, relegating Real Madrid to second place in La Liga’s list.
Real Madrid has had to relinquish their first-place lead in La Liga’s race to rival Barcelona.
Barcelona’s Uruguayan striker, Luis Suarez opened the scoring in favor of his team 50 minutes into the game. Ivan Rakitic scored the second goal for his club at the 76-minute mark, followed by the third and final goal of the game, also scored by Suarez, 11 minutes later.
And so, thanks to the season’s unpredictable end, Barcelona has regained its first-place position in La Liga’s chart. Now it’s up to Barcelona to continue putting pressure on rival, Real Madrid.
