Rabat – The city of Agadir will host its very first edition of the Bembe Afro-Latin Festival, scheduled to take place on April 27-May 1.
The festival’s main events will take place at Agadir’s Congress Center.
The five-day event will provide festival goers with the opportunity to celebrate Afro-Latin music in a coastal atmosphere.
The event will bring together international and home-grown artists to celebrate a variety of performances including Cuban salsa, Argentinian tango, Cha-Cha and African music.
The agenda for each of the five days will also include shows featuring local artists.
To start off the festival, Agadir’s Time Travel Agency will provide festival goers with the opportunity to discover the city in a seven-hour tour, complete with a hang-out period, followed by an opening DJ party.
The second day of the event will feature shows by local artists and a DJ party, while the third day will be devoted to Dj Valet, a live concert performed by Manina, African music concerts and a live concert by DJ Jal’z.
On the fourth day, festival attendees will have the chance to enjoy a Metis Al RFM concert in addition to DJ parties, including those hosted by DJ Adiam, DJ Casy, DJ Kito.
The last day of the festival will feature parties hosted by renowned DJs, including DJ Saad and DJ Kamal Salsa Dura, DJ Kito. The final day will also include an African music concert.
Away from music, the five-day festival will present other activities including workshops on African and Latin dances, yoga sessions and pool parties.
