Rabat – Manchester United coach, Jose Mourinho, is plotting a summer transfer raid on Real Madrid. The objective? Its key player, Alvaro Morata.
Several international outlets have been talking about Morata leaving his current team at the end of this season. Morata himself, however, has refuted all rumors, saying in April that he has no future designs.
Morata added that he is choosing to focus on achieving his objectives as an important part of his team.
“I am scoring goals and helping the team. It’s important for me personally to continue this way and support my team,” he explained.
Mourinho has acknowledged that his plans for the summer transfer window have changed due to the injuries of key players including Ibrahimovic Zlatan and Marcos Rojo.
According to sport platform, Goal, the Portuguese coach has admitted he does not have enough players for a long-term period, which has evidently affected his plans.
Chelsea’s coach, Antonio Conte, has also expressed a keen interest in signing Morata. Conte is reportedly willing to offer GBP 65 million to make the deal happen.
