Rabat – When the Champions League’s official twitter account wished Barcelona’s star, Lionel Messi, a happy birthday as he turned 30 on Saturday, Real Madrid fans, especially those of Cristiano Ronaldo, reacted badly.
The European league’s first tweet included a question mark implying debate as to whether Messi was ” the greatest”. Messi’s fans replied that there was no need for a question mark.
Happy 30th birthday Lionel Messi!

Messi is the greatest to ever play the beautiful game no questions should be asked. His career speaks for itself.

Messi and Ronaldo have both praised each other during interviews with Ronaldo telling FOX Sports that he likes to watch all of the good players, including Messi.
Leo told sports outlet, ESPN, that Ronaldo is “a phenomenal player with a lot of quality, who outdoes himself each year.” He added that rivalry is reinforced by the press, not by them.
