Rabat – The National Brigade of the Judicial Police (BNPJ) arrested a police commissioner and an intermediary for corruption in Salé on Wednesday after they were caught receiving money from a complainant.
The Public Prosecutor at Rabat’s Court of Appeal has ordered the BNPJ to conduct necessary investigations, after an individual lodged a complaint accusing the police officer and another intermediary of corrupting and blackmailing him.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of money from the complainant, the two suspects were arrested and placed in custody.
They will remain in custody while they await an investigation conducted under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor of Rabat’s Court of Appeal to determine the circumstances of the case.
