Rabat – Moroccan boxing star Mohammed Rabii has made another impressive win by knocking out his Georgian opponent Tyemur Abudladze in Évian-Les-Bains, France on Saturday.

The former 2015 amateur boxing world champion and 2016 Olympic bronze medalist, who signed a five-year contract deal with German promotion SES Boxing, did not lose time before he got the job done.

Exchanges between the two fighters in the first round gave the impression the fight will not last long. A first left hook by Rabii rocked his opponent, before the Georgian found himself lying on the ground after an exchange where the Moroccan caught with another strong left hook and a right cross.

A minute and a half was enough for the Moroccan welterweight boxing star to secure his third professional win, earning the respect of an enthusiast crowd which was cheering for him.

“I’m very happy. Thank you for all the people who have cheered for me. Thanks for all the Moroccans and Arabs out here”, said Rabii after the fight. “I hope I’ll keeping winning in my upcoming fights”.

When asked about what’s next for him, Rabii said his goal is to accumulate experience as a professional boxer.

“Professional boxing is different from amateur boxing. But, I have my coach, my manager and my promoter by my side. I’m like a student who’s learning. But I’m studying hard so that I can win all my fights”.

Known for being a humble person, Rabii admitted that the night before the fight he looked tense.

“I’m a shy a person. But inside the ring, I’m totally a different person”, he said with a smile on his face.

In his previous professional fights, Rabii knocked out the Hungarian Laszlo Kovacs and defeated the Belgian Jean Pierre Habimana by decision.

With his third professional win, the Moroccan will surely gain more confidence as he has his eyes set on more achievements in the future.
