Rabat – Morocco’s National Railway Operator (ONCF) has launched a call for tender regarding the reconstruction and renovation of the Jamai Palace hotel in Fes.
The project budget is estimated at MAD 570 million. ONCF had been authorized by a decree published in the official gazette on July 6 to inaugurate a subsidiary dedicated to the renovation and reconstruction of the Jamai Palace.
The project approval was co-signed by Head of Government Saad Eddine El Othmani and Minister of Finance Mohamed Boussaid.
The preferred bidder for this project is expected to be selected in mid-September in order to start working on the project by October.
The hotel was closed in 2014 and its reopening is scheduled for 2019, according to the business plan for this project.
