Morocco completed preparations for tomorrow’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup clash against Scotland with a full squad available, as all 26 players took part in the team’s final training session in Boston.
The session, held on Thursday afternoon, saw the return of goalkeeper Yassine Bounou amid reports circulating in recent hours about a possible injury. The Al-Hilal shot-stopper trained normally with the rest of the group, putting an end to concerns over his availability for the second Group C match.
The Atlas Lions trained under the supervision of head coach Mohamed Ouahbi as they fine-tuned their preparations for a match that could bring them closer to qualification for the knockout stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Faouzi Lakjaa’s presence
The positive atmosphere around the squad was further strengthened by the presence of Royal Moroccan Football Federation president Fouzi Lekjaa, who attended the session to support the players ahead of the important encounter.
Morocco heads into the Scotland match with confidence following its impressive 1-1 draw against Brazil in the opening round. Tomorrow’s victory would move the Atlas Lions to four points and significantly boost their hopes of reaching the round of 32.
With no injury concerns and the entire squad available, Ouahbi will have all his options at his disposal as Morocco looks to take another step toward the knockout phase in Boston.
