Rabat - The President of Spanish Football Federation, Angel Maria Villar Llona, was arrested on Tuesday along with his son and three other federation officials for corruption charges, according to Spanish police.

The 64-year old former international footballer was reportedly arrested for embezzling federation funds.
Spanish media said that the suspects were detained for “documents falsifications and skimming interests from global football matches.”
Villar has been the president of the association since 1988. He is also the senior vice-president at FIFA and the Union of the European Football Associations (UEFA).
