Rabat – It’s the winter sales at the National Office of Railways. The  national railway company announced Friday that from December 18 to January 8, 2018, travelers can receive an immediate 50 percent discount on the purchase of travel cards for young and senior citizens, professionally active  people and tourists.

In a communiqué published December 15, the railway company explained that the discounts only concern the Chabab, Hikma and 26-59 ANS travelcards, adding that the MAD 50 deposit, often required in such plans, is not needed for the winter sales.

The CHABAB card is destined to young travelers aged between 12 to 26 years old. The card can be either semestrial at MAD 265, or annual at MAD 420. The HIKMA card, tailored specifically for senior travelers, costs MAD 105 a semester, and MAD 190 a year.

The 26-59 ANS card allows to travel on berths and double berths,  with a 25 percent discount offered from Monday to Friday by respecting the booking deadlines and the allocated quotas. The semestrial card costs MAD 370, while the annual card costs MAD 530.

Overall, the company’s travel cards offer a minimum discount of 25 percent on the price of train tickets. The discounts can even reach 50 percent under certain conditions with an unlimited number of trips throughout the validity of the card.

These cards are also available for both the 1st and 2nd class of the train lines.
