Rabat – King Mohammed VI has instructed a Royal Armed Forces medical-surgical unit to deploy to Gaza and set up a field hospital.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sunday evening, the royal order aims to treat the civilians wounded in the recent violence in the Gaza strip, when 62 Palestinians were killed on the day of the US embassy’s inauguration in Jerusalem, Monday, May 14.
“Taking place in the holy month of Ramadan, this action is in line with the Sovereign’s historic and constantly renewed commitments to the Palestinian cause and illustrates active and effective solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people,” the statement added.
