Police arrested another woman on suspicion of starting the fire that swept through the eight-story apartment building, killing at least 10 people.
Rabat – A 24-year old Moroccan woman died in a fire that consumed an apartment building in the 16th arrondissement of Paris on Monday night.
A Moroccan consular employee in Paris told Maghreb Arab Press (MAP) on Wednesday that local police confirmed the death of the young Moroccan woman.
Police arrested another woman on suspicion of starting the fire in the eight-storey apartment building.
The fire killed at least 10 people and injured another 30 people, including eight firefighters.
The fire was the first of its kind in Paris in 14 years, added MAP.
French Minister of the Interior Christophe Castaner said that firefighters had “entirely risked their own lives to save 50 people” from the incident.
