Rabat – Moroccan singer Dounia Batma and her sister, Ibtissam released a video of themselves laughing following their provisional release from the Marrakech Court of Appeal.

Dounia and her sister paid bail of MAD 500,000 each to secure their provisional release after judicial police in the city summoned them to answer questions about their alleged involvement in the infamous case of Hamza mon bb, or Hamza my baby.

The Hamza mon bb is a social network account run by anonymous admins. The account shares inappropriate content such as videos and photos to tarnish the reputations of celebrities and public figures.

A statement from the Public Prosecutor at the Court of Appeal in Marrakech states that the investigating judge asked for a preliminary investigation in the case.

The statement indicates that both sisters are facing serious charges, including defamation, blackmail, and sharing people’s statements and photos without their consent.

The press release confirmed that the police seized the passports from both of them, prohibiting them to leave the territory.

The two sisters could both face to five years in prison if convicted.

In a viral video on social media, Dounia and Ibtissam appeared laughing while Dounia’s husband Mohamed Turc filmed the pair, saying “here is the bad girl.”

The video was taken moments after their release.

At one point, Dounia’s husband asked Ibtissam if she had anything to say to the camera.

“I have nothing to say,” she said. Dounia, meanwhile laughed. .

Security services arrested five suspects involved in the case, with some of them confirming Dounia’s involvement in the affair.

Police arrested Soukaina Janah, a YouTuber known as Glamor, along with four other individuals, including Alaeddine Ben Zerouhe, Mohamed Dahir, Adnane Ski, and Oussama Aazmi.

Mohamed El Madimi, head of the executive office of the National Center for Human Rights in Morocco, a victim of the profile, believes that Dounia has a direct link with the Hamza mon bb affair.

“The enemies of Dounia are the ones who received threats, and all kinds of insults,” he said.

Police received more than 50 complaints against the Hamza mon bb profiles.
