A former football agent spread rumours that Hamdallah plans to leave the Saudi football club Al Nassr to join English club AVFC.
Rabat – Saudi football club Al Nassr has denied news about the potential exit of its Moroccan international football scorer Abderrazak Hamdallah.
On January 6, former football agent John Harriott spread rumors about talks between the Saudi Club and English football club Aston Villa Football Club (AVFC) about the possibility of Hamdallah transferring.
“I am guessing the fans of Al Nassr are not happy,” he said.
He added that AVFC had reached a deal with Al Nassr.
In response, a source from Al Nassr told Saudi sports news outlet Arriyadiyah that Hamdallah is staying with the club.
“Al Nassr administration did not receive any offer regarding the Moroccan football striker Abderrazak Hamdallah.”
The source added that the Hamdallah has not mentioned the alleged offer to the club.
“All I know is that Abderrazak Hamdallah was happy with his victory until now.”
The source also said that the contract between Al Naser and Hamdallah’ includes a penal clause estimated at € 20 million.
In April 2019, Hamdallah extended his contract with the Saudi club until 2022.
The Moroccan player is one of the key pillars of the club, having scored 57 goals in 2019.
Hamdallah became the 2019 top scorer, surpassing Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski, who scored 54 goals, and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi (50 goals). Hamdallah also won the Best Arab Player Award for 2019.
