Denver- Turkey’s leading grain silo manufacturer Altinbilek has unveiled plans for the construction of its first-grain storage facility in Morocco.
The company, headquartered in Eskisehir, Turkey, is considered one of the leading manufacturers of steel silos and grain storage equipment, according to Milling and Grain. Altinbilek specializes in constructing grain handling, storage, and cleaning systems, along with seed processing systems..
Altinbilek’s new facility in Morocco will include “four 7,061 cubic meters and eight 1,909 cubic meter flat bottom commercial bins and accessories,” according to a news source familiar with the agricultural manufacturing company.
The new facility is part of a company expansion plan that would include facilities across Africa, from Morocco to Sudan.
Moroccan farmers have experienced an exceptionally bountiful grain harvest during the past growing season. Grain stores in the country have approximately tripled in size in comparison to normal annual yields, according to some estimates.
The high yields, which have been attributed to above-average rainfall earlier in the year, comes as global prices for food products are rising as many countries are experiencing the adverse effects of the pandemic.
