Rabat – New car sales in Morocco saw an 11.8% increase in the first five months of 2021, compared to the same period of time in 2019, according to the latest statistics from the Association of Vehicle Importers automobiles in Morocco (AIVAM).

So far this year, car sales have reached a total of 74,049 units, showing a trend of consistent growth this year, in line with previous figures. By the end of April 2021, growth had reached 11.35% compared to the same period in 2019.

Last year saw COVID-19-induced record-setting losses all across the board, in a variety of sectors. Comparing this year’s performance to 2019 will show a clearer picture of general market trends, in a much broader context than just post-pandemic recovery.
