Rabat – Located on the outside of the foodcourt of Rabat’s Arribat Center lies Morocco’s newest US food chain, Dunkin Donuts.
The American fast food chain specializes in fresh coffee and offers a diverse range of donuts.
Although the company has yet to announce an official opening date, the storefront is no longer under construction and staff appears to be training to serve Morocco’s donut fanatics.
Dunkin will join a growing list of US companies that maintain a presence in Morocco. Other American food chains with physical locations in the kingdom include McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, amongst many others.
The Rabat location will serve as Dunkin’s first storefront in Morocco. Dunkin currently has stores in 3,200 international locations spanning across 36 countries.
In 2019, the Dunkin brand generated approximately $1.37 billion (MAD 12.2 billion) in revenue according to Statista.
According to a source, the store’s operating hours will be from 9:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m daily.
Dunkin Donuts also owns one of the US’ largest ice cream chains Baskin Robbins. Many of the Dunkin locations also serve baskin Robbins ice cream, which is famous for serving a large variety of flavors.
Not only does Dunkin serve everything from black coffee to sugary, gourmet frappuccinos, but the company also offers breakfast sandwiches and other American breakfast staples such as donut holes and bagels.
The company’s slogan is “America runs on Dunkin” and the newest opening in Morocco is guaranteed to bring a piece of US cuisine and culture to the kingdom.
