The flights will be operated by the largest israeli airway company El Al, and Israeli company Israir, the latter is the carrier of the aircrafts that landed in Marrakesh on Sunday.
A third company, Arkia, is expected to depart from Israel on August 4, in addition to upcoming Royal Air Maroc flights.
Marrakech-Menara Airport received 211 passengers from Tel Aviv on Sunday, directly from Ocher city.
The direct flights connecting both Morocco and Israel come after the normalization accords signed in December 2020.
The agreement will allow both countries to boost ties in many fields and advance bilateral cooperation. Among the many topics covered in the agreements are trade, technology, tourism, financial investments, and counterterrorism.
Morocco is expecting a mass of tourists and diaspora members to visit the country following the opening of direct flights.
Considering the complication of the pandemic on the Moroccan tourism industry, Israeli tourists are expected to contribute to the gradual improvement of the industry.
