Rabat – The latest of exciting events in motorsports, the Extreme E Prix, will be broadcast by Morocco’s state broadcasting service Societe Nationale de Radiodiffusion et de Television (SNRT).
The Extreme E Prix is a series of events for SUV electric vehicles with the aim to highlight one of humanity’s biggest obstacles yet, climate change. This year’s Extreme E Prix began in the Alula desert in Saudi Arabia in early April; the organizers held a two-day race in Senegal’s Dakar in late May, and the next set of events are scheduled in late August in Greenland.
“By holding races in areas that are suffering at the hands of the environmental crisis, such as deserts and the Arctic, the aim is to raise viewers’ awareness and interest in environmental issues,” notes a press release from Extreme E.

SNRT will be doing a full broadcast of the upcoming event in both French and Arabic, with reportage covering the race itself, any highlights, previews, and reviews. SNRT will also show the Electric Odyssey- a 20-part long program documenting the event’s behind-the-scenes, highlighting “its stories of climate change, science, sustainability.”
Extreme E’s X Prix will also be available to watch on SNRT’s digital platform, Arryadia.
“SNRT and its associated channels are a great fit for our electric racing championship, and we are delighted to have secured this deal… SNRT shares many of Extreme E’s core values such as gender equality and concern about the world’s climate crisis – both of which are key pillars behind our sport for purpose series,” said Extreme E’s Chief Marketing Officer Ali Russell.
As the organization cements new broadcasting deals, it has begun its preparation for its Arctic X Prix in Greenland, less than two months away. The series’ operations team have completed their recent visit to Greenland’s Kangerlussuaq, located at the end of a deep fjord.
