The UK was not the only country to commend the conditions under which the general elections took place.
The US also congratulated Morocco for the conditions in which the elections were set in.
After closing polls on Wednesday, Morocco received a congratulatory message from the US on the successful completion of the general elections.
The US embassy in Rabat also commended the strong US-Morocco relations.
“Our shared commitment to democratic processes strengthens our 200-year partnership.”
This year’s election is the third of its kind under Morocco’s 2011 constitutional reforms and it also marks the eleventh election since Morocco gained its independence.
Over 500 local and international observers participated in observing the elections.
