Rabat – The Moroccan health ministry reported a total of 1,082 new cases of COVID-19 infections and 1,774 recoveries in the last 24 hours.
The number of individuals having received their first vaccine dose reached 22,463,549, while the number of fully vaccinated people (both doses) now stands at 18,923,931.
The total number of declared positive cases since the outbreak of the pandemic is now at 931,973, while the recovery remains encouraging at 97.1% with 904,552 having recovered from COVID since the virus first hit Morocco in March 20202..
The ministry declares 23 COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing Morocco’s total number of COVID fatalities to 14,248 but keeping the fatality rate at a low 1.5%.
18,079 tests were performed since last night, with a positivity rate of 5.99%.
Active cases are estimated to be 13,173, with 910 critical cases and 35 patients under intubation.
The Casablanca-Settat region has once again recorded the largest number of daily infections, with 447 positive cases, and 5 deaths in the last 24 hours.
Following is the rabat-Sale-Kenitra region, where 298 new cases and 8 deaths were reported today.
