Rabat – Ali Zaoua Foundation and the Federation of Youth and Cultural Houses of the Ile-de-France Region (FRMJC IdF) launched collaborative project “SociabilArt” on October 28 in Casablanca to promote access to culture and put into practice the theoretical knowledge of arts professionals.
The Franco-Moroccan project will assist a dozen cultural professionals in both countries for three consecutive years to provide them with active training in “Cultural Rights”.
Two cultural trainers, namely Jean-Pierre Seyvos and Hicham Ibn Abdelouahab will train the participants. The trainers’ vision is to develop the participants’ pedagogical skills in the transmission of artistic practices and to develop social inclusion in Morocco and France through arts.
Seyvos is a composer and director, founder and artistic co-director of S-composition Company. He is also a trainer and consultant in the field of cultural policies, with particular expertise in artistic education, teaching, and shared creation in the field of performing arts.
Meanwhile, Abdelouahab is the founder of the Craig workshop and of Prova Company that specialize in visual arts. He is known for his passion for theater and video arts and he is currently a consultant in sustainable development and cultural engineering with several companies in Morocco and international NGOs.
The project will be implemented with the support of the Institut Français de Paris and the French Development Agency (AFD) and plan to set up a joint artistic project by the last quarter of 2023.
Representatives of each institute expressed their readiness to work toward social inclusion and improve the “will to live together” through the development of “accessibility to cultural expressions and cultures of the world.”
