Rabat – Morocco’s Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) announced a new partnership with the Future Investment Initiative (FII) as a knowledge partner to collaborate on Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, education, healthcare, and sustainability.

The partnership was unveiled on the second day of the 5th anniversary of the FII, which took place between October 26 to 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

FII Institute is a global nonprofit foundation in Saudi Arabia with an investment arm and one agenda themed “Impact on Humanity.”

FII is built based on environmental, social and Governance (ESG) principles and aims to turn ideas into real-world solutions through empowering intellectuals and world leaders and identifying technological solutions to the most pressing issues facing humanity.

UM6P joins two world-class universities through the collaborative program, namely Stanford University and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).

The collaboration will revolve around research, development, and innovation across many areas of collaboration.

UM6P will also contribute by advising on scientific topics, providing grants and specific funds, as well as capacity building and training.

“This partnership will also enable the development of joint scientific events and conferences run by experts and provide opportunities for exchanges,” UM6P said in a statement.

During the conference, Hicham El Habti, UM6P President expressed the university’s readiness to upscale its efforts towards creating a greater impact.

“I am confident that this collaboration will allow us to achieve the mutual goals of being impact generators through innovative research, capability building, education and investing in and for the future,” he said.

FII’s network includes leading global institutions in IT such as Accenture, AIQ, Bain & Company, management and consulting companies such as Boston Consulting Group, Roland Berger, Oliver Wyman, PwC/Strategy, Deloitte, EY Global, and KPMG International.
