Rabat – Morocco’s flag carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is adopting the American sales technique of offering special deals for “Black Friday.”
RAM is offering passengers special offers on its official site, mobile application, and travel agencies on November 26 at 12:01 a.m. local time.
The deals consist of flexible flight tickets, making their terms and conditions more flexible regardless of the fare paid or the travelers’ destination.
“You can make unlimited changes at no extra cost or charges in the same booking class prior to the date of travel,” the company said in a statement.
Travelers can change their tickets “immediately,” and the operation is applicable to tickets issued less than 12 months ago as well as newly issued tickets.
As for the refund, customers can benefit from a voucher valid for 12 months from the date of their ticket purchase, with the company underlining that “the voucher may be refunded at the end of its validity if not used.”
Travelers are eligible to apply for a refund up to a maximum of 3 months after the deadline of the voucher.
Last week, RAM published updated information for travel from A and B list countries.
Passengers coming from List A countries need to provide proof of vaccination, as well as a health form as a requirement for travel.
Passengers from List B countries should provide proof of vaccination, a negative PCR test and filling in a health form.
Proof of vaccination is only valid at least two weeks after receiving the final dose, while the PCR test needs to be taken within 48 hours prior to boarding.
Many other Moroccan companies in several sectors advertise for their Black Friday sales in the days and weeks leading up to it.
Black Friday comes one day after the American Thanksgiving holiday and traditionally kicks off the Christmas shopping season in the US.
