Rabat- Marjane Holding Group joined the Food Store Quality Association (FSQA), becoming the first Arab brand to join the organization.
The FSQA, based in France, is a professional association representing, as of 2021, fourteen large-scale retailers to ensure the health safety of food manufacturing and handling activities at their points of sale.
Through its new membership, Marjane will adopt the Food Store Quality Standard (FSQS) throughout its network.
“We are fully aware of our role as suppliers of products and, in particular, of food products,” said the CEO of Marjane Holding Group, Ayoub Azami.
Azami highlighted that the group’s priority is to produce fresh products of irreproachable quality. “We are putting all our energy into it and our membership in the FSQA demonstrates our desire to respect our commitments by raising our standards in terms of food safety, he added.
Marjane Group, which is owned by Morocco’s National Investment Company, has been bringing modern retail products to Moroccans for more than 30 years.
Earlier in November, Marjane announced that its brand would “encompass all vegetable and fruit production chains, as well as red, white, and fish products.”
In addition to this, the brand intends to provide fresh and high-quality products, enabling customers to find their needs, while following hygiene, and control conditions throughout the production process.
