Rabat – While the entry requirements to different countries might be subject to modifications due to the ongoing surge in COVID-19 cases worldwide, here are the latest travel requirements to access some European and North American countries from Morocco.
The Moroccan government announced on January 27 its decision to reopen borders on February 7. The decision was welcomed by Moroccan citizens, foreign tourists, travel agencies, and airlines. Royal Air Maroc and Spanish airline Binter reported on January 28 that they would soon resume international flights from and to Morocco.
Here are the latest entry measures imposed by European and North American countries.
Spain
Travelers wishing to visit Spain should prove that they have been vaccinated against COVID-19, with a complete schedule or booster dose at least 14 days before their arrival. They are also required to complete a FCS health check form before departure via this link , or on the Spain Travel Health-SpTH app.
France
Since October 11, 2021, French authorities classified Morocco as an “orange” country due to the “active circulation of the virus in controlled proportions, without dissemination of worrying variants.”
All individuals aiming to enter France from Morocco have to provide a negative PCR test taken less than 48 hours before departure. Also, the passengers might have to take a random antigenic test at arrival.
Vaccinated passengers who received Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Vaxzevria, and Janssen do not have to provide a travel motive and are not subject to quarantine measures.
Unvaccinated and Sinopharma receivers have to provide a travel motive and quarantine for 10 days then take a PCR test.
Also of note: French citizens and residents and EU citizens do not have to present a travel motive to enter France from Morocco.

Italy
Italy included Morocco in its E-list in May 2021, meaning that tourists from Morocco are not allowed to enter the country. Only individuals with compelling or urgent travel reasons are authorized to enter Italy. The exemption reasons include work, studies, and health care.
The authorized individuals have to provide a negative PCR test taken 72 hours prior to entry or an antigen test carried out within 24 hours prior to entry. It is also mandatory to complete a self-declaration in which the reason for entrance or return must be indicated.
Greece
Travelers visiting Greece between January 24 and February 7 have to present a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours or a negative rapid test of less than 24 hours.
The condition applies to all passengers regardless of their nationality and vaccination status.
Turkey
The Turkish Embassy in Rabat reported on January 4 that travelers aged 12 or older have to present at least one document before entering Turkey. It can be a vaccination certificate, a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours, or a negative rapid antigen test of less than 48.
The embassy confirmed in a Facebook post that all passengers must complete the “Entry to Turkey Form” ​​within 72 hours from departure.
United Kingdom
Individuals who completed their vaccination doses are not required to take a Covid-19 test before entering the UK. Yet, they must fill out a form.
Unvaccinated passengers must present a negative PCR test before departure and after arrival. In case of a positive result, the individual concerned must self-quarantine.

Switzerland
Vaccinated passengers have to only complete an online form 48 hours before or after their arrival. Swiss authorities announced the new measure on January 22.
Finland
Travelers aged 16 or older must present their vaccination certificate or COVID-19 recovery proof as well as a negative covid-19 test result (PCR or antigenic) of less than 48 hours.
The conditions do not apply to Finish citizens and residents returning to the country.
United States
All passengers aged 2 or older must present a negative 24-hour Covid-19 viral test result, or a positive PCR test result on a sample taken a maximum of 90 days before boarding and a letter from a licensed healthcare provider or a public health official stating that the passenger is cleared to travel. The old postive PCR test can technically stand for what the US CDC has referred to as “documentation of recovery from COVID-19.”
Canada
Travelers aged 5 or older must present a negative PCR test or proof of a positive result from a test taken within the previous 15 to 180 days. They must also present their ArriveCAN receipt and proof of vaccination.
