Rabat – Royal Air Maroc is adding three new additional flights to repatriate Moroccans in Ukraine.
Royal Air Maroc said that the new flights will operate on March 3-4 from Bratislava, Bucharest, and Budapest to Casablanca.
The flights will be at the same prices set for all special flights for Moroccans in Ukraine (MAD 750 or $75).
Royal Air Maroc introduced special flights to help Moroccans traveling through Ukraine’s neighboring countries to leave the conflict zone and return to Morocco.
The flights are part of Morocco’s measures aiming to assist Moroccans caught up in the ongoing war in Ukraine.
To date, Morocco has scheduled nine special flights for Moroccans fleeing Ukraine.
On February 28, Royal Air Maroc said the three additional flights will operate on March 3rd to meet the demands of Moroccans who want to leave Ukraine amid Russia’s military offensive in the country.
Flights will depart from Bucharest, Budapest, and Warsaw to Casablanca.
Royal Air Maroc also scheduled three flights on March 2.
Due to the closure of Ukraine’s airspace, Morocco’s embassy in Kyiv called on Moroccans seeking to return home to travel to Ukraine’s borders with Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania.
Reception units have been set up in Ukraine’s neighboring countries to receive people escaping the conflict zones.
At the request of Mauritania’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, Morocco has also allowed Mauritanian students fleeing the Ukrainian conflict to use Royal Air Maroc flights.
