Rabat – Spanish national police have arrested thirty suspects involved in drug trafficking from Morocco to Spain, through Gibraltar.
The network is led by Jesus Heredia, also known as El Pantoja. Heredia is considered one of the biggest drug traffickers in the region.
Heredia’s network operates in the region of Cadiz, specifically through the port city of Algeciras and across the strait of Gibraltar.
Spanish national police mobilized roughly 300 officers at six in the morning on March 2, in the vicinity of Algeciras. The operation led to the arrest of thirty people suspected to be related to the network, including the leader of the network, Jesus Heredia.
El Faro Ceuta reports that the network was responsible for supplying fuel to drug-trafficking boats belonging to other illicit networks.
