Rabat – Moroccan national carrier Royal Air Maroc has launched a new offer to improve journeys for Moroccan families residing in Europe and traveling back home.

Royal Air Maroc’s new offer allows families to benefit from several advantages all year round, including being allowed one opportunity to change tickets for free.

The offer, which will be launched on  April 20 for flights between Europe and Morocco, provides families with several payment options such as the possibility to pay for the trip in several installments free of charge.

Moroccan families coming from Europe can also benefit from a discount of up to 20% on ticket prices, and a “Safar Family” loyalty account to earn miles for the whole family, reported the Moroccan news outlet Le360 on Wednesday.

Initially allowing 10kg of luggage for children under two years old, the offer expands the weight allowance to 23kg. Royal Air Maroc also provides priority boarding for passengers.

Passengers will also benefit from free seats reservation.

Royal Air Maroc has yet to reveal more details about the offer.

On April 16, Royal Air Maroc celebrated its second year of being the first African full member of oneworld Alliance.

Oneworld is an alliance of 14 world-class airlines that are “committed to providing the highest level of service and connections to over 1000 destinations in 170 countries.”

Royal Air Maroc’s CEO Abdelhamid Addou said in March that the country’s flag carrier will open a tender where companies can bid to supply its aircrafts next year.

Royal Air Maroc’s current fleet consists of nearly 40 Boeing 737s, but because of the pandemic, only 28 aircrafts are operational.

The type of planes the company aims to acquire for 2023 is still unknown, but Addou said there are currently no plans to order additional Boeing 737 Max aircraft.
