Rabat – The Oriental Fashion Show (OFS) will organize the first edition of the Morocco Fashion Week in the red city – Marrakech –  from June 2 to 4, 2022, in partnership with the Mandarin Oriental hotel, to showcase and promote Moroccan and international designers.

Following its fashion shows in Paris and Milan, the OFS will head next to Morocco for its 46th edition which will feature more than 20 haute couture, Caftan, and ready-to-wear fashion houses from different countries.

The Morocco Fashion Week will offer a program with varied activities, including fashion shows, press conferences, workshops, as well as cocktail parties. The fashion show will also include a Red Carpet event that will feature distinguished guests and high fashion profiles from Europe and the Middle East, including Leila Aziz, Dorra Zrouk, Farrah El Dibany, Lojain Omran, and Mahira Abdelaziz.

In a press release, the organizers said they chose the imperial city of Marrakech to host Morocco Fashion Week because it represents “fashion and creativity and Morocco” and is “a city where the past and present come together.”

The city of Marrakech has been home to many art, fashion, and cultural events, including the Marrakech International Film Festival. The OFS held its 37th edition in Marrakech last year on June 18 and 19, showcasing and paying tribute to the Caftan, the symbol of Moroccan fashion and elegance.

Travel magazine Conde Nast Traveller has ranked Morocco’s red city as the third friendliest city in the world, highlighting its unique appeal to tourists and its exquisite blending of modernity and ancient Moroccan tradition.

Based in Paris, France, the Oriental Fashion Show is the first international platform dedicated to Couture and Oriental fashion. It has been organizing large-scale fashion shows for 15 years, in different cities across the world.

According to the OFS, it aims “to transform the traditional fashion, filled with symbolic meaning and history, into modern trends oriented to the international market with a good strategic positioning.”

The Morocco Fashion Show will enjoy international press coverage from various fashion capitals such as Milan, Paris, London, and Dubai, including the French Fashion Channel.
