Rabat – Morocco’s National Confederation of Tourism (CNT) is organizing the first edition of “Travel Tech Morocco,” in partnership with Morocco’s National Tourism Office (ONMT), with the aim of revolutionizing and digitizing the country’s tourism sector.

The event will take place at the Tour Hassan Hotel in Rabat on June 17. It intends to bring together leaders and investors in the hospitality sector from across Morocco to “share their visions and current trends,” as well as discuss the challenges that face the industry.

The event will include three panels in which young Moroccan and international travel tech experts will share their knowledge with the audience. Each panel will tackle a key aspect of Travel Tech.

The Destination Lab will focus on the role of technology in tourism marketing and boosting the travel industry.

The Distribution Lab will help owners of travel businesses learn the importance of understanding the online distribution channels available to them, as well as learn how to manage them.

Meanwhile, the Creative Lab will tackle the integration of creative content and effective conversion tools into the tourism marketing strategies in order to increase visibility, engagement, and customer loyalty.

The event reinforces Morocco’s continuous efforts in promoting tourism, a key sector of the country’s socio-economic development.

Last month, ONMT launched the “Light Tour” in Paris, London, and New York, with the aim of promoting Morocco’s touristic offers.

In April, ONMT and CNT signed a partnership agreement, laying the foundation for cooperation aimed at reviving Morocco’s hospitality through boosting domestic tourism, advancing digitization efforts, as well as promoting the North African country as a tourist destination in the global market.
