Rabat – Morocco’s Ministry of Education announced that 41,988 students passed the Baccalaureate retake exams that took place from July 15-19.
The ministry said on Saturday that the passing rate reached 82.14% among female candidates against 75.04% for male students.
The number of students in public and private sectors who passed the tests in the normal and retake exams for 2022 reched 273,333, with a passing rate of 78.84% compared to 81.83 % in the 2021 academic year.
The highest grade mark of the normal baccalaureate session,19.44 over 20, was scored by Walid Lahroussi from the Casablanca-Settat region.
Ten out of the top 13 Moroccan students who received the highest grades are female students from the Rabat-Sale Kenitra, Casablanca-Settat, and Marrakech-Safi regions.
The ministry concluded its statement by congratulating all students who passed their tests and also commended the professionalism of educational and administrative managers, as well as security and health workers who contributed to the success of the national exams.
Around 570 people were arrested following the exams for their alleged involvement in acts of fraud during the exams.
The arrested suspects faced different charges, including the possession and commercialization of computer equipment used for academic fraud.
