Rabat – Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses are eying a historic qualification to the Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) finals ahead of their semifinals match against Nigeria today, Monday, at the Moulay Abdellah Complex in Rabat.
The semifinals game will kick off at 9 p.m GMT, with Moroccan sports channel Arryadia broadcasting the match live on its TNT HD version. The game will also stream live on the Qatari group’s channel BeIn Sports News, the exclusive holder of the rights to the competition.
The winner of Monday’s big match will face the winner of the other semi-final between Zambia and South Africa, which will take place in the same evening at the Complex Mohammed V in Casablanca at 6 p.m GMT.
“The match against Morocco will be perhaps the toughest hurdle for the Super Falcons here,” said Amaju Melvin Pinnick, the president of the Nigeria Football Federation, as he urged the Super Falcons to think of Nigeria and the millions of fans back home that love and support them.

Atlas Lionesses have won all of their four matches in the ongoing tournament, while Nigeria has brought in three wins, but suffered one defeat against South Africa in their opening game.
Nigeria qualified to the semifinals after defeating Cameroon with a 1-0 victory last week, securing the Super Falcons’ ninth consecutive ticket to the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
With its 2-1 win against Botswana in the quarter finals, Moroccan women’s football team made history with their first-ever qualification for the 2023 Women’s World Cup, which will take place in Australia and New Zealand.
