To make attending the match more convenient, Qatar will not require vaccination against COVID-19 for fans attending the 2022 World Cup. They will only be required to present a negative test.
“People arriving in Qatar are not required to undergo quarantine, regardless of their vaccination status or country of origin,” the organizers said in a statement.
All visitors aged six years and older must submit a negative result for a PCR test fewer than 48 hours before the departure time, and less than 24 hours for an antigen test, the statement added.
Qatar, which has a population of 2.8 million people, expects to host around 1.2 million World Cup fans between November 20 and December 18.
Morocco is in Group F of this year’s World Cup, along with Canada, Croatia, and Belgium.
