Royal Air Maroc To Launch Routes Connecting Moroccan Destinations with France, Spain

Rabat –  Moroccan flag carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) will launch two new air routes connecting Marrakech with Paris and Spain’s Seville with Tangier and Casablanca.

Royal Air Maroc‘s new route will connect Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) to Marrakech at the rate of three trips per week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, starting October 31.

Departure from Morocco’s airport in Marrakech will be at 9:15 a.m. with an expected arrival at the Paris CDG at 12:25 p.m.

Departure from Paris CDG will be at 1:25 p.m. with an arrival at 4:45 at Marrakech’s Menara airport.

A new air route linking Casablanca and Tangier to Seville will also operate twice a week on Fridays and Sundays, starting December 4.

Departure from Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca will take place at 4:15 p.m., with an arrival in Tangier at 5:35 p.m. Departure from Tangier will be at 6:15 and arrival in Seville at 7:10 p.m.

Flights departing from Seville are scheduled for 7:55 p.m., arriving in Tangier at 9 p.m. The flight will depart Tangier to arrive in Casablanca at 11 p.m.

Royal Air Maroc said the Casablanca-Tangier-Sevilla flights come to meet the demand of Spanish and Moroccan tourists as well as Moroccans residing in Spain.

The national airline also announced that it will resume flights linking Casablanca to Porto, Tenerife, and Luanda. The flights, which will operate starting December 9,  were previously suspended due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Royal Air Maroc will operate the Casablanca-Tenerife air route twice a week on Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights will depart from Casablanca airport at 9:25 a.m., arriving in Tenerife at 11:35 a.m.

Departure from the same location will be at 12:30 p.m. with an arrival expected at 4:15 p.m. in Casablanca.

Starting December 9, Royal Air Maroc will also restore the Casablanca-Porto flight at the rate of two flights on Mondays and Fridays. 

Departure will take place at 4:15 p.m. from Casablanca to arrive in Porto at 4:55 p.m. Flights from Porto will be at 5:55 p.m. and arrive in Casablanca at 8:30 p.m.

Luanda-Casablanca air routes will operate three times a week.

Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will mark departures from Casablanca, while flights back to Morocco will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

“With the resumption of traffic, Royal Air Maroc is committed to strengthening its offer to confirm its status as a benchmark player in Moroccan tourism and a major company on our continent,” Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc Abdelhamid Addou said.

He added that Royal Air Maroc has mobilized to consolidate its position in tourist-generating markets, including France and Spain.

“Our commitment also continues with the Moroccan and African diasporas by launching and re-establishing direct lines that bring them closer to their mother countries,” he added.
