Rabat – King Mohammed VI and King Charles III have expressed satisfaction with the deep cooperation between Morocco and the UK.
The two sovereigns held a phone call on Tuesday, a statement from the Moroccan Royal Cabinet said.
During the phone call, King Mohammed VI reiterated his congratulations to King Charles III on his accession to the throne.
He also reiterated his sincere condolences on the passing of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
“The telephone conversation was an opportunity to underline the strong personal ties between the two sovereigns and the esteem they have for each other, thanks to the deep and long-standing relations between the two Royal Families,” the royal cabinet said.
Both countries also celebrated the long-standing relations between the UK and Morocco.
The UK and Morocco share good diplomatic relations. The two countries also cooperate in different areas, including tourism, security, and trade.
This year marks the 300th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations between the two countries, which frequently vow determination to boost cooperation in all fields.
The two countries are also looking forward to growing in other areas, including defense.
UK ambassador to Morocco Simon Martin told Morocco World News recently that there “are plenty of other areas in which this is happening…We have a really important joint military exercise due to take place, involving both the army and air force.”
