King Mohammed VI Appoints 20 Members to Supreme Council for Education

King Mohammed VI announced the appointment of 20 members and experts to the country’s Supreme Council for Education, Training, and Scientific Research.

A statement from the Royal Cabinet today highlighted that the list includes members known “for their expertise and competence in the fields of education, training, scientific research.”

The statement added that the appointments aim to refresh the council’s membership, for it to carry out its tasks to promote education, training, and scientific research to improve Moroccan schools and provide quality education for all.

The appointments come a few days after King Mohammed VI  announced that former Speaker of Morocco’s House of Representatives Habib El Malki would become the president of the educational council.

A statement from the palace said that the King received El Malki, instructing him for the “optimal implementation of the missions entrusted by the Constitution to this institution,” including promoting education in Morocco.

The guide emphasized the importance of addressing challenges facing the country’s education, training, and scientific research.

The statement stressed King Mohammed VI’s vision to support the reform of education in coordination with relevant departments to achieve the main objectives of the reforms.
