Rabat – Morocco’s national team has the “best defense” at the 2022 World Cup, France’s head coach Didier Deschamps said on Tuesday.

In a pre-match conference, Deschamps  accepted that Morocco’s team is a not aneasy rival, he stated he was hoping to find a “solution to break down their defense and score some goals.”

He noted it is not just about defense “but they are a strong side as a whole otherwise they would have not reached here,” he said.

Morocco defeated several giant football teams, including Spain, Belgium, and Portugal during the World Cup 2022 phases to become the first African and Arab country to qualify for the semi-finals.

The much-anticipated game between France and Morocco will take place on Wednesday at the Al Bayt stadium in Qatar at 8 p.m. Moroccan time.

Deschamps commended Morocco’s football team, emphasizing that the national squad has “very good playmakers.”

“We have been watching them closely. We are trying to find something and make a strategy to score a goal against them. We are going to break their defense down.”

Like the French team, Morocco’s Atlas Lions are gearing up for the match tomorrow, and are preparing to make it one step closer to winning the title and accomplishing World Cup dream.

“I have been saying it since the start, our dream is to win the World Cup, the more we advance … the closer we approach our dream. We will fight tomorrow to go further,” Morocco’s head coach Walid Regragui told journalists ahead of tomorrow’s semi-final match.
