Rabat- Famous footballers Achraf Hakimi and Kylian Mbappe, close friends and teammates for French Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain [PSG], are set to face off in the much-anticipated Morocco vs. France match on December 14 at 8:00 pm Moroccan time.

France’s superstar Kylian Mbappe predicted the outcome of the upcoming Morocco-France match, joking that while it will break his heart, he will destroy his friend [Achraf Hakimi].

In a video dating back to January, recently reshared by beIN sports, Mbappe said, “We are here at the Stadium, education city stadium, 40,000 people can be there.”

“I hope we will win and after we play against Morocco, I have to destroy my friend,” he added 

The friendly back and forth continued as Hakimi joked, “I’m going to kick him.” 

Mbappe went on to say, “That will break my heart a little but it’s football it is what it is…I have to kill him.”

Morocco’s next opponent, France, beat England 2-1 on Saturday allowing them to advance to the semi-finals. On the same day, Morocco defeated Portugal 1-0 to clinch a spot in the semi-finals.

Moroccan footballer Achraf Hakimi expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming match against France. Hakimi tagged France’s superstar Kylian Mbappe on Twitter with the caption “See you soon my Friend.”

Hakimi and Mbappe’s friendship is always in the spotlight as they make a great football duo and have celebrated each other’s successes both on and off the field.

On several occasions, Hakimi highlighted how much he values his friendship with Mbappe and how much he admires the French-center forward not only for his football abilities but also as a person.

Meanwhile, Mbappe praised Achraf Hakimi’s spectacular performance with Morocco’s national football team in the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN).

“Achraf Hakimi. Best RB [right back] in the world. Good night guys,”  the PSG football star wrote in a tweet.
