Rabat – Israeli troops killed 10 Palestinians in a new raid in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, reports said.

The Palestinian news agency Wafa confirmed the news, saying that the Ministry of Health announced ten deaths and 100 injuries among Palestinians.

Six of the injured victims are in “critical to very critical condition.”

“Sources in Nablus said a large army force raided the old city of Nablus at a peak business hour and while students were in their schools and surrounded a house while heavily shooting in all directions,” the news agency said.

The situation caused a violent confrontation between residents and soldiers, who fired tear gas and sound bombs at homes and shops.

“The Red Crescent in Nablus said the Israeli army prevented its ambulances from reaching and evacuating the wounded in the old city,” the news agency said.

With the murdering of 10 Palestinians today, the number of people who were killed by Israeli army gunfire mounted to 59 since the start of 2023. Among the victims, there were 11 minors, one woman, and two elderly men.

Several reports have denounced Israeli violations of human rights against Palestinians.

A report from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) quoted experts’ concerns about Israel’s continued violations against Palestinians.

“The international community must take action to stop systematic and deliberate housing demolition and sealing, arbitrary displacement and forced evictions of Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank,” the report quoted UN experts as saying.

The report listed several violations of human rights against Palestinians, including direct attacks on their homes, schools, water sources, among many.

“Israel’s tactics of forcibly displacing and evicting the Palestinian population appear to have no limits. In occupied East Jerusalem, tens of Palestinian families also face imminent risks of forced evictions and displacement, due to discriminatory zoning and planning regimes that favour Israeli settlement expansion – the act that is illegal under international law and amounts to a war crime,” the experts said.
