Join on Telegram A used oil storage tank explosion killed two people and injured at least one other victim on Thursday in Mediouna province, a town 17 kilometers away from Casablanca.
The victims were between 30 and 67 years old.
Local authorities said that services from the Royal Gendarmerie and civil protection rushed to the scene immediately after being notified about the incident to take the necessary measures.
The two deceased victims were transferred to the morgue in Casablanca, while the injured person received medical care at the provincial hospital of Mediouna.
Security services opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the case and the reason behind the explosion.
