Rabat – Marrakech will host the world’s largest startup event GITEX Africa Morocco, which will take place from May 31 to June 2, 2023. The major tech event will attract over 20,000 guests, 125 government bodies, and 900 international exhibitors.

A curation of emerging technologies from fintech, e-commerce, cloud, IoT, AI, telecom to cybersecurity will be heavily featured during the three-day annual pan-African forum in the red city.

Prior to the major startup event, Gitex Africa Morocco announced that the submission process is open. The company plans to select 100 Moroccan startups from the total entries they receive to participate in the event.

The interested Moroccan startups are invited to submit their online applications before April 1.

The selected Moroccan startups will be granted a space at the GITEX Africa exhibition with their own branded sponsored startup pods.

They will also get the opportunity to participate at the Supernova Challenge which claims to be the biggest pitch competition in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia with $100,000 total cash prizes at GITEX Africa.

Additionally, the selected Moroccan startups will receive a dedicated matchmaking service with over 350 meetings scheduled between startups and investors, as well as the opportunity to meet and network with 900+ exhibitors, including IT and government entities, ecosystem participants, startups, and investors.

GITEX Africa Morocco aims to boost the country’s digital ecosystem by highlighting the various advances and innovative achievements of the public and private sector, identifying investment opportunities and partnerships with technology operators invited to this major digital event.

This first edition is organized by the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC), under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform and in partnership with the Digital Development Agency (ADD).

On its official website GITEX AFRICA insists that it aims to unleash the limitless possibilities of the globe’s youngest continent and shape the vision for a more sustainable, inclusive, and tech-driven digital economy.
