Rabat – Morocco’s Youssef En-Nesyri left fans and international media mesmerized by his eye-catching and outstanding performance during Europa League’s final game against Roma on Wednesday.
En-Nesyri produced a spectacular performance for Sevilla, which won its seventh Europa League title last night.
En-Nesyri, whose performance and outstanding skills contributed to Sevilla’s win last night, had the full attention of international media and fans who celebrated the Atlas Lion’s skills.
“The ex-Leganes man shows smart movement in the box, often loitering slightly behind the opposition backline before darting in the space between defenders at the last moment to attack a cross,” sports news outlet Breaking the Lines said.
Livescore, another sports news outlet, also highlighted En-Nesyri’s performances following the Europa League’s final match.
Describing En-Nesyri as a goal machine, the news outlet recalled that the Moroccan international striker scored six goals in 850 minutes of European football this season.
“He is Sevilla’s primary goal threat,” the news outlet added.
In a statement following the final game, En-Nesyri said he is dedicating the victory to King Mohammed VI and Moroccan fans.
“Without him, I would not have reached this level in europe. Thanks to the Mohammed VI Academy, I was able to access high-level training,” he said.
En Nesyri also thanked all Moroccans who supported him, as well as his family and friends.
En-Nesyri’s performances have been making the rounds for several months, since his appearances with Morocco’s national team at the 2022 World Cup.
In April, Sevilla named En-Nesyri as April’s Player of the Month in Spain’s top Spanish football league La Liga.
“It’s no surprise who has been named @LaLigaEng Player of the Month! Take a bow, Youssef En-Nesyri,” the club said in a tweet.
En Nesyri contributed to several of Sevilla’s wins since he joined the club. En-Nesyri was also part of the 2019/20 squad that won the Europa League.
