Rabat – French football club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) has reportedly received a record €300 million offer from Saudi club Al Hilal for French star Kylian Mbappe.

The offer comes as Mbappe continues to be in the middle of a transfer saga, with the club having dropped him from their pre-season training tour in Japan.

Mbappe has refused to extend his contract with PSG, who have put him on sale to avoid him leaving for free next season.

Al Hilal is not the only club showing interest in Mbappe. The BBC has said many other clubs are interested in obtaining the services of the French superstar, including Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.

It remains to be seen whether PSG will engage in any talks with Al Hilal for the giant offer.

Saudi clubs have been racing to secure deals with international football stars, having already secured the services of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, among others.

They have also made unsuccessful approaches for other players and coaches, including world champion Lionel Messi.

Saudi clubs’ recent push to recruit superstars started as Ronaldo joined Al Nassr  in December on a massive €200 Million contract lasting until 2025.

Benzema recently also signed a three year contract with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad.

Messi also had offers for a move to Saudi Arabia. However, the international superstar opted instead to join MLS side Inter Miami for a contract that is expiring at the end of 2025.
