Rabat – Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, a Moroccan charity focused on the development of the Al-Quds, and the Islamic Supreme Council of Al-Quds signed a cooperation agreement on Saturday aiming to support education in the holy city of Al Quds.

The agreement equally aims to consolidate the two institutions’ partnership and foster collaboration in various areas. The official signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Islamic Supreme Council of Al-Quds, with the presence of several esteemed personalities from Al-Quds.

The agreement was signed by Ismail Ramli, the coordinator of programs and projects at Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, and Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, the President of the Islamic Supreme Council.

In a statement, Sabri outlined the key components of the agreement, saying: “This comprehensive accord encompasses the establishment of an endowment library to support a vital documentation project, the organization of the 7th academic conference by the Council, and the printing of its valuable publications.”

The agreement reflects the commitment of both entities to advancing research, education, and preserving the cultural heritage in Al-Quds, the statement adds.

Sabri further emphasized that the Council is dedicated to working hand in hand with the Agency to implement projects that will have a positive impact on the residents of Al-Quds and the various institutions within the city.

He expressed gratitude for the Agency’s consistent support, recalling their prior collaboration in 2011, and hailed the enduring bond between the two parties.

President of the Islamic Supreme Council expressed his appreciation of King Mohammed VI, the Moroccan people, and Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency for their unwavering commitment to the well-being of Al-Quds and its revered Holy Sites.

On his part, Ramli, underscored the importance of the agreement, aligning it with the strategic actions of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency. The Agency works to Al-Quds and its institutions across various sectors while working within the financial means available to the establishment.

“His Majesty the King’s personal oversight of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, as the executive arm of the Al-Quds Committee, further strengthens our commitment to selecting pragmatic and achievable projects, fostering innovative initiatives, and forming quality partnerships to bolster the institutions of Al-Quds,” Ramli said.
