Rabat – In a move aimed at increasing efficiency and optimizing human resources, the Ministry of the Interior has executed a significant staff transfer operation, in line with new staffing reforms.
A total of 1,116 agents, constituting 25% of the overall employees, have been impacted by the transfer decision.
The action came in alignment with royal instructions advocating for a more efficient and merit-based approach to staffing, emphasizing merit as the guiding principle for access to authority positions, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
The Ministry’s implementation of the staffing reforms is in line with a larger vision of progressive change stated in the royal instructions, added the same source.
According to a statement released by the Ministry, “the transition from a traditional career-focused civil service model to a completely new one centered on skill management” is seen as the cornerstone of this transformation.
To ensure the success of the reform, the Ministry introduced a support and evaluation system seeking to enhance the development of human resources by fostering “objectivity in performance assessment.”
The approach is set to include citizen participation in performance evaluation, aiming to make citizens integral partners in the process.
