Rabat – Moroccan winger Hakim Ziyech received a warm welcome at Turkish club Galatasaray on Saturday night, with an attendance of 50,000 football fans at his official.
Applauds, joy, and support dominated the presentation ceremony, with Ziyech also seemingly happy about his exit from Chelsea.
Galatasaray signed the Atlas Lion on a loan deal from the Premier League Club, with an option to make the move permanent.
Ziyech made a spectacular appearance during the presentation ceremony that followed Galatasaray’s victory over Trabzonspor on Saturday.
The Turkish club will pay an initial 3.6 million euros as a loan fee. By the end of the season, the Turkish club has to pay another 2.8 million euros if they make the transfer permanent.
The move came following concerns and uncertainty about the Atlas Lion’s future with Chelsea, whose managers kept him on the bench frequently.
Since joining the Premier League club in 2020, Ziyech has made 107 appearances for the English club.
The Atlas Lion has been celebrating his transfer by sharing a group of pictures and posts tagging him during the ceremony.
Ziyech is one of Morocco’s key footballers, who contributed to the team’s historic run at the 2022 World Cup. During the global tournament, Morocco became the first Arab and African country to qualify to the semi finals.
