Sporting Casablanca’s women’s football team triumphed this week over Egypt’s Wadi Degla, securing their place in the final rounds of the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League. The exhilarating match took place on Wednesday, August 6, captivating fans and spectators alike, Morocco state media reports.

This remarkable victory occurred within the framework of the third and decisive match of the African Women’s Champions League-UAF qualifiers, which took place from August 24 to 30 in Alexandria, Egypt. Sporting Casablanca’s fierce performance not only showcased their talent but also their unyielding dedication to advancing in the tournament.

The intensity of the match was palpable, with both teams demonstrating their prowess on the field. The event took an unexpected turn in the 53rd minute when Egyptian Wadi Degla player Hiam Abdel Hafeez was shown a red card and subsequently expelled from the match.
