Rabat – Israel’s death toll has mounted to 600 people amid the continuation of the clashes between the Israeli military and Palestinian Hamas forces since Saturday.
Israeli media reports have said that the death toll from the ongoing clashes reached between 500 to 600 people.
Times of Israel said that the deaths included dozens of soldiers and police, who were clashing with Palestinian resistance forces.
“The Health Ministry also confirms that the number of wounded in hospitals has reached 2,048, including 20 in critical condition and 330 seriously wounded,” the news outlet said.
I24 News also confirmed that the number of injured people from the ongoing clashes reached over 2,000 among Israelis.
Violent clashes between Israeli troops and resistance forces from Hamas have been ongoing since Saturday.
The situation caused international concern, with the UN and a growing number of countries calling for both parties to avoid further escalation.
Many have seen the situation as the result of Israel’s aggression and provocative actions – including the several instances of storming the Al Aqsa mosque, as well as continuing settlement expansion.
