Rabat – A Moroccan parliamentary delegation from the House of Representatives is taking part in an examination of combined reports concerning the implementation of the UN’s International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD).
In the coming two days, spanning November 22-23, the delegation will participate in reviewing Morocco’s combined periodic reports 19,20, and 21, a statement from the House of Representatives said.
“This international event involves presenting the national report of the kingdom of Morocco and engaging in discussions for the Human Rights Council,” the statement added, noting that this is in line with Morocco’s commitment in the field of human rights.
It also reflects Morocco’s positive interaction with international human rights mechanisms during the 2022 and 2023 years in line with King Mohammed VI’s vision.
According to the House of Representatives, the event will serve as an opportunity for Morocco to share its experience in combating all forms of racial discrimination, while emphasizing its commitment to international conventions and the measures taken to implement recommendations in this regard.

Morocco has been emphasizing its commitment to continue to fight against all forms of racial discrimination.
In June, Morocco was elected as a member of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The election reflects the country’s progress and its determination to continue to fight against all forms of discrimination.
